Designing-Best Color to your Room


Before selecting the color for your rooms, you should access your size of the room and lightning to that particular room. There are so many colors for rooms for which one can choose but should think and understand the psychological values also before taking final decisions. Color of a room influence a lot on our moods and thoughts. Color can change even the shape and size of the room.

Red, orange and yellow resembles heat, fire and sunshine.

According to color psychology, red and orange are stimulating colors and also increases the person’s appetite as red and orange stimulate digestion, causing hunger..On the other hand blue tends to suppress the appetite, so never go for these colors for your dining room and is often thought as a poor color choice. Strong brick red can be the best choice for kitchen.
Orange evokes excitement, enthusiasm and is an energetic color, It is not good for living or bed room. this color is great for an exercise room. It will bring all the emotions out that you need when jumping into your fitness routine. In ancient cultures orange was used to heal the lungs and increase energy levels.
Yellow creates cheerful mood, but it can have adverse effects and should be balanced with white ceiling. People are more likely to lose their tempers in a yellow room. Babies also seem to cry more in a yellow room. This color tends to create feeling of frustration and anger in people.
Blue is calming color. It is most suitable for bedrooms and bath rooms. It gives a calm and cool mood. it brings down blood pressure and slows respiration and heart rate. That’s why it’s considered calming, relaxing, and serene, and is often recommended for bedrooms and bathrooms When going to blue, go for lighter shades where darker will give opposite effects.
Green is the signature color of nature and creates a vibrancy of life. Green is not so widely used for interior painting, but occasionally people paint their kitchen or living room, in this color. Green symbolizes nature and creates a mood of balance and harmony. In a bedroom, it’s relaxing and pleasant.
Purple creates a creative mood, but too much can be overpowering. Purple is synonymous with royalty, style and sophistication. This color has been a popular choice for painting girls room. However, in recent times people have started to use the color to paint contemporary kitchens. A shade of purple, lavender can be used to paint kitchen walls.
Light colors make room looks larger. Warm colors like beige, cream or shades of yellow can add a warmer and inviting look, while cooler colors such as gray can add a more formal appearance. As red increases the energy levels, sitting for longer time will breakdown peace and harmony, so better avoid red in living room. However, if you are using a dark shade of red to paint the walls, use light colored furniture for decorating the room. You can also combine red with other colors like yellow, blue and white.

Choosing relaxing colors such as blues, greens and light earth tones is often the best approach for the bedroom. Try to avoid bright and jarring colors such as red, bright yellow and other intense shades.
Neutral colors like white, brown, gray and cream create mood of stability and practicality.
Remember to balance the color throughout your home. Be careful not to overdo.
